How long time can a guy have Chlamydia without infecting others?

My sisters boyfriend(they’ve been together for a year, and when the relationship started neither of them had Chlamydia) have recently gotten Chlamydia and infected her, and she’s wondering if he could really have had it all that time or if he’s been cheating on her. Help please

Um you can only get chlamydia from a women so he has been cheating on her. He needs to go to the doctor and get that checked out.
That’s just plain NASTY. If they were together for one year then all of a sudden someone has Chlamydia, I would suspect cheating. But from the CDC website:

They say that most people have no symptoms. SO maybe they both had it and didn’t get symptoms until later.
My question is this. In this day and age of HIV, AIDS, HEPATITIS, CHLAMYDIA, HERPES GENITAL WARTS, why the H3LL are they having sex without a condom????

Chlamydia can go undetected for 5 or more years as it rarely shows/never shows any symptoms. The time it usually shows any symptoms is after years of exposure. Most women usually dont know they have it until they get a pap smear. 75% of sexually active people will experience chlamydia
