it depends on whether the thyroid is hypo or hyper-functioning. A deep voice is a sign of hypothyroidism. Also weight gain, cold intolerance, hair loss, and constipation.

Maybe … but, highly unlikely. I’ve read a lot of articles in regards to thyroid disorders, in the past two years … and I’ve not yet come across such a symptom. Can you elaborate? Are you having any other symptoms, other than a deepened voice?

Not likely . I was treated for graves disease a hyper thyroid condition. and I’ve never heard of that one . sounds more akin to
hormones of the pituitary or adrenal glands ?
Overactivity of thyroid is called Hyperthyroidism. Underactivity of thyroid is called Hypothyroidism. Hoarseness (one of the late symptoms of Hypothyroidism) is described as having difficulty producing sound when trying to speak, or a change in the pitch or quality of the voice. The voice may sound weak, excessively breathy, scratchy, or husky. Consult an Endocrinologist.
Please see the web pages for more details on Hyperthyroidism (Toxic Goitre), Graves disease and Hypothyroidism (Myxoedema).

I had an enlarged thyroid (goiter) and hypothyroidism. That caused my voice to become kind of hoarse so it sounded a little deeper. Other commong hypothyroidism symptoms include hair loss, weight gain, slow metabolism, fatigue, mental confusion, loss of memory, and feeling cold.
