I was reffered by my OBGYN to go see a chiro to help with my stiff neck. I am wondering what to expect one I am there? What will he do exactly? Will it help right away?

Chiropractors believe (and see every day) that misaligned “subluxated” (the chiropractic word for it) vertabrae (spinal bones) cause pressure on nerves, causing irritation, inflamation and pain.
The neck muscles get stiff because of the fixations in the neck bones, and they can even radiate (shoot) into your arms and hands, or up in your head to cause headaches.
They will do gentle adjustments and mobilizations to your neck – there are several possible methods – as well as maybe some massage and stretching. They may also give you some diet and/or supplement advice depending on the focus of their practice.
I’m sure your MD would only refer to one they knew was very good, so don’t worry!
And yes you can hear popping sounds as the joints come free, but that only means the blocked segment can now move again!
